How this notebook is paid, and what it refuses
A few supplement brands may pay us when you buy through our marked links. Grades never depend on it, and some programmes we have turned down on purpose. Both lists are below.
Some links on Nutrient Notebook are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, the seller may pay us a commission. Every such link starts with /go/, is marked sponsored for search engines, and sits near a plain note saying it may earn us money.
Programmes this site may use
The direct answer: three supplement brands, each linked only where we discuss its product.
- Nutrafol, through a network programme for new US customers.
- Viviscal, through a network programme.
- Vegamour, through a network programme, mentioned only as an alternative.
Until each programme approves this site, those links simply point to the brands' own homepages. A commission never changes a grade, a score or the order in which we discuss products, and our Nutrafol review shows the arithmetic behind its score so you can check.
What pays us nothing, and why we recommend it anyway
The steps we recommend most often earn us nothing: seeing a GP or dermatologist, asking for blood tests, and buying over-the-counter topical minoxidil or store-brand medicines from any pharmacy. We say so on every page where they come up, because a reader deserves to know which advice is free of any interest of ours.
Programmes we refuse
We have chosen not to join the following, and we will not link them:
- ClickBank and Digistore24 hair-loss offers, because the hair products sold through them commonly make aggressive claims and refunds are common.
- HealthTrader, a pharmacy-style offer network, because of the regulatory risk across countries.
- Luviacure, because its ambassador model is marketed on income claims.
- Flymedi and Medigance, until they can be verified.
- Clinic booking platforms (Bookimed, Qunomedical, WhatClinic): their fees come from the clinics they list, which is the wrong side of the table for a reader.
- Bosley, whose affiliate programme has closed.
- Scandinavian Biolabs is not refused, but we found no oral supplement on its homepage, so this supplement-focused site has nothing of theirs to link.
If we ever change one of these decisions, we will rewrite this page first.
What we never do
We do not publish coupon codes for prescription medicines, sponsored reviews, paid placements or testimonials. No brand sees a page before it is published.
